New Media Design Digital Survey II, Fall 2022, Professor Melissa Warp

For an assignment in my NMD Digital Survey II class, we were tasked with redesigning the logo of a business from a set list. I chose to work on the logo of a bookstore in Exeter, New Hampshire.

All four concepts for the project. For most of the iterations, I focused on the location of the bookstore to give it a sense of place and situate it in the community. I used imagery of the storefront, the awning, and a tree in front of the building. For the fourth logo, I chose to use a more generic solution, with the bookstore’s name placed on a bookshelf.

The final design I chose was the logo showcasing the storefront.
